About this experience
The Mohammed 6 Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art is a major cultural institution in Rabat dedicated to modern and contemporary Moroccan and international art. Inaugurated in 2014, it is the first major public museum in Morocco entirely devoted to modern arts, featuring modern architecture that integrates traditional Moroccan motifs. The museum presents a wide range of collections and temporary exhibitions, from painting to sculpture, including works by renowned Moroccan and international artists. It offers a profound cultural experience in a bright setting, often enriched by international events and temporary exhibitions. More than 500 paintings and about ten sculptures are preserved, studied, and mostly displayed to the public. Every year, prestigious temporary exhibitions allow visitors to discover a variety of artists and themes, from modern to contemporary art. Great names in art such as César, Giacometti, Goya, Picasso, Monet, Cézanne, Sisley, Renoir, El Glaoui, Cherkaoui, Gharbaoui, Chaibia Talal, Delacroix, and Cartier-Bresson have been exhibited at the museum as part of special exhibitions and retrospectives. 🕐 Opening Hours Open daily from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Closed on Tuesday. 💵 Entrance Fees Adult ticket: 60 MAD for foreign visitors. Minor ticket: 15 MAD for Moroccan minors. Ticket for Moroccans or Moroccan residents: 30 MAD.
